8th Anniversary of ADC&CC
The Air Defence Command & Control Centre which was inaugurated on 29th March 2006 celebrated its 8thAnniversary on 29th March 2014 giving prominence to religious activities with pride of its immense contribution to the national security.
The Formation Day celebrations began with Shramadanaya carried out at “Kaluaggala Arannya”, Mirigama on 27th March 2014 followed by offering of ‘Heel Danaya’ to the residing Bhikkus of the Arannyua Senasanaya on 28th March 2014.
The Formation Day working parade was held at the SLAF Station Mirigama premises and it was reviewed by Gp Capt SCK Pallawela, the present Commanding Officer of the Air Defence Command & Control Centre. It was followed by A cricket tournament among the formation personnel and the celebrations concluded with an all ranks lunch.
