Fire fighters from the SLAF Academy China Bay, went into action when they learnt that a fire had erupted at Prima Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd, China Bay –Trincomalee.  Personnel manning the Air Traffic Control Tower of the Academy first observed smoke rising from the area of the Prima Ceylon(Pvt) Ltd and found out on inquiry that a fire had erupted in the stores of Nawaloka constructions at the Prima premises.  

Deploying immediately, the Fire Fighters of the SLAF Academy found that the fire was chemical in nature and promptly acted to bring it under control.  They were able to bring the fire under control and extinguish it in record time, averting major damage to the property of both Nawaloka constructions and Prima Ceylon(Pvt) Ltd.
