The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal  KA Gunatilleke conducted the Annual Inspection at SLAF Base Anuradhapura on 20th June 2014. The Commander reviewed the parade which was commanded by the Base Commander Gp Capt HSS Thuiyacontha.

Certificates of Commendation were awarded during the parade to 19168 Sgt Bandara PSGN (Kat Assis) , 23768 Sgt Wijesinghe WLAK(Tec Wood), 022851 Lac Chandrasena WAJ (MTS &O) for the valuable service they rendered to the development of the Base.

At the conclusion of the inspection, the Commander addressed Officers, Airmen, Airwomen and Civilian staff of the Base.  While praising the commendable job they had done, he encouraged them to set and reach even higher goals.
