Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force Visits MOD & UD

The visiting Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha visited the IPKF War memorial Battaramulla, and later in the afternoon  called on  the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksha, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army and the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy.

The Chief of the Air Staff was received upon arrival at the respective headquarters by the Army and Navy commanders and was afforded a Guard of Honour at each.

Mementos were exchanged between the Visiting Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha and the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General  Daya Rathnayaka  and between Commander of the Navy  Vice  Admiral Jayantha Perera  to mark this occasion.
