LAC Deshan Dayaratne, who represented the Sri Lanka Air Force at the Ranaviru Real Star Season 4 Finale, and who emerged as the Runner Up, was promoted to the Rank of Substantive Corporal this morning by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke.

Deshan Dayarathna is an Ops Grd tradesman and hails from Polonnanruwa.  He joined the SLAF in 2008 and currently serves at SLAF Vanni.  He is a past pupil of - Polonnaruwa Irandakotuwewa Maha Vidyalaya, and is the only son of MG Sarath Dayarathna and Mrs SG Ramyalatha.  He has two sisters.
