Annual AOC'S Inspection of SLAF Station BIA And SLAF Station Palavi
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke conducted
the Annual Inspection of SLAF Station Bandaranayake International Airport
and SLAF Station Palavi on 1st August
2014.
The Commanding Officer SLAF Station Bandaranayake International Airport, Group Captain HN Abeysinghe received the Commander who was afforded a street lining which was commanded by Flt Lt HKA Alwis.
During the visit, the Commander declared open the new Corporals' and Airmen’s social club. On conclusion of the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks of the Unit and praised the commendable job they had performed. The Commander awarded commendations to 17733 F/Sgt Ananda WG (Ops Guard) and Mr. Hemasingha ( Civil Staff) for their outstanding meritorious work.
At SLAF Station Palavi, Commanding Officer Wing commander UJB Nissanka received the Commander on his arrival and a Street Lining commanded by Sqn Ldr DMADB Dhabakotuwa was accorded to the Commander.
The Commander concluded the inspection by addressing all ranks of SLAF Station Palavi.
