Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt Visits SLAF Academy China Bay and SLAF Base Katunayake
The visiting Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt visited the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay today(29 Aug 14). On arrival, he was received by the Commandant of the Air Force Academy, Air Commodore Sagara Kotakadeniya.
The PAF delegation was then conducted to the No 1 Flying Training Wing and the delegation later enjoyed a boat ride in the Trincomalee harbour area.
In the early afternoon Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt visited the Defence Services Command & Staff College Batalanda and addressed the students of the college.
Subsequently Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force visited SLAF Base Katunayake in the evening where they were received by the Base Commander, Air Commodore Sudarshana Pathirana. The delegation was then conducted to No. 2 Heavy Transport Squadron, No. 5 Jet Squadron, No. 10 Jet Squadron and the Aeronautical Engineering Wing.
The Commander of the Air Force hosted the Visiting Air Chief and his entourage to a Banquet at Eagles' Lagoon View, Katunayaka.
