The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke, conducted the annual AOC's inspection at SLAF Base Ratmalana today (19 September 2014). The AOC's Parade was commanded by the Base Commander, Air Commodore PDKT Jayasinghe.
The newly constructed Sub Guard Room, Basketball court and the Model Aircraft Workshop at the Air Force Museum were declared open by the Commander. The customary address by the Commander to the personnel was made at the No. 8 Sqn Hangar on completion of the inspection.
Following personnel received Certificates of Commendation from the Commander for their meritorious contribution in their services to the Base in particular and to the Air Force in general.
