SLAF Produces another batch of EOD qualified personnel

The Badge Awarding Parade of No. 28 Officers, No. 43 Airmen and No. 19 Naval personnel Basic EOD Courses was held at SLAF Station Palavi on 19th Dec 2014. The Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi Wing Commander GSN Priyadarshana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

A total of 39 personnel which comprised 02 SLAF and 02 Naval Officers, 31 Airmen and 4 Sailors from the Sri Lanka Navy took part in this 5-month course. Flying Officer AHTIA Sumanathilaka and Leading Aircraftman Athapaththu ARMV were adjudged as the Best EOD Officer and Best EOD Airman of the Courses respectively. Squadron Leader WAI Waranappriya the Actg. Commanding Officer of EOD Training School,.Officers and Airmen were also present to witness the event.



Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
