No 08 Light Transport Squadron celebrates its 19th Anniversary
No 08 Light Transport Squadron at SLAF Base Ratmalana proudly celebrated its 19th anniversary on 2nd April 2015.
In commemoration of the anniversary a blood donation campaign was conducted in collaboration with the Base Hospital and National Blood Transfusion Service on 30th March 2015. During the campaign more than one hundred personnel donated blood voluntarily.
The Formation day celebration started with a working parade at the No 08 Squadron Hangar premises. The Parade was reviewed by the Commanding Officer Wing Commander KAPS Kuruwita on 02nd April 2015. The celebrations concluded with a traditional Elle tournament with the participation of Officers, Other ranks and civil staff at the Base sports ground. The Base Commander and all lodger formation COs of SLAF Base Ratmalana graced this memorable occasion.
