Badge Awarding Parade Basic EOD Course

The Badge Awarding Parade of No. 29 Officers, No. 44 Airmen and No.20 Navy Basic EOD Course was held at SLAF Station Palavi on 07th July 2015. A total of thirty eight personnel which comprised three SLAF Officers, two Naval Officers, twenty nine Airmen and four Sailors from the Sri Lanka Navy took part in this course which was conducted for a period of over five months.

Flying Officer HAS Madushanka and Leading Aircraftman Karunarathna KAA were adjudged as the Best EOD Officer and Best EOD Airman of the Courses respectively.

The Commanding Officer SLAF Station Palavi Wing Commander Nishantha Priyadarshana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Squadron Leader Prasanna Weerasinghe, the Commanding Officer, EOD Training School, Officers and Airmen were also present to witness the event.

 

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
