SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Chairperson Visits SLAF Seva Vanitha Garment Factory

The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghela exchanged pleasantries with the employees at Seva Vanitha Garment factory while making her first official visit to the Garment factory at SLAF Sigiriya on 14 July 15 .
 
During her visit the Chairperson took time to talk with the employees and distributed appointment letters to the casual employees who worked at the factory. Afterwards, she also had an interaction with the ladies of SLAF Station Sigiriya.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Garment factory was established in the year 2009 with the purpose of sewing/supplying uniforms to the Air Force at concessionary rates while providing employment to the civilians who lived around the area. The factory commenced as a small entity in the beginning but has since then developed into a large business within a few years. Presently there are over 80 personnel employed at the factory other than the service personnel who manage the factory process.
 
CO SLAF Station Sigiriya Group Captain Harsha Jayathilake, Office bears of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit were also present at the occasion.
