SLAF 'Angampora' Celebrates Its 3rd Anniversary

A presentation and display on ‘Angampora’ was conducted by the SLAF Angampora team at BMICH 'Kamatha" yesterday (25 July 2015), marking yet another significant milestone in history of the indigenous art of ‘Angampora’. This also coincides with the 3rd anniversary of introduction of ‘Angampora’ to the Air Force.

The event was made colourful by a performance of both ‘Angam’ and ‘Illangam’ by members of the RSF/SABF, the Angampora Display Team and the instructors of the ‘Ange Medilla Ranapila’ including the main ‘Guru’ Deshamanya Dr. Ajantha Mahantharachchi himself.
 
 Secretory of the Defence  PMUD Basnayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.  Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala, Chairman of the SLAF Angampora Air Commodore Camillus Labrooy and other  invitees, Officers  and other ranks of SLAF attended the event.
