Annual AOC's Inspection of SLAF Station BIA
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala conducted the Annual Inspection of SLAF Station Bandaranayake International Airport on 7th August 2015 ( afternoon).
The Commanding Officer, Group Captain HN Abeysinghe received the Commander who was afforded a street lining on his arrival.
On conclusion of the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks of the Station and praised the commendable job they had performed. The Commander awarded commendations to 012794 Corporal Ranaweera KRKKTS (Ops Guard) for his outstanding meritorious work.
As a novel concept, an opportunity was afforded personnel to bring up any issues that wished to bring to the attention of the Commander. A special time was allocated for this after the initial briefing of the CO.
