Annual Christian Memorial Service 2015
The Annual Air Force Christian Memorial Service in memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice was held at All Saints Church,Borella, at 1600 hrs on 28 June 2015 with the participation of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala.
During the ceremony, flags representing all Bases and stations of the SLAF were marched up to the alter and blessings were invoked on the flags and the establishments that they represented. A scroll containing the names of all who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty was also offered and consecrated.
The multi-denominational celebrants also invoked blessings on the Commander and all members of the SLAF so that they may be empowered to serve the nation with dedication and commitment.
