The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Chairperson’s Conference with Ladies and Servicewomen
As part of the
series of conferences organized by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit another
conference was held at SLAF Station Ampara on 1 September 15 with the
participation of ladies and servicewomen at the Station.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairperson of the SLAF SVU Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala, who welcomed the gathering and spoke to them on the aspirations of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit. A discussion was held on issues and problems related to the Seva Vanitha activities brought up by those present after which the Chairperson exchanged pleasantries with the participants.
The Chairperson also visited the Station Pre School together with Mrs. Violet Siriwardena (Technical Advisor to the Pre School) and met the children studying at the school. The chairperson mingled with the children and distributed candy.
The President of the Seva Vanitha Unit, SLAF Station Ampara Mrs. Hiranya Wickramaratne, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Ampara Group Captain Chaminda Wickramaratne, and Office bearers of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit were also present at the occasion.
