An eye clinic for the civilian employees of the Sri Lanka Air Force was organized by SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit as another welfare project on a concept of the Chairperson SVU.

A ceremony to handover spectacles to the patients was held on 17 Sep 2015 under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala at SLAF Guwanpura.  30 recipients were ceremonially presented with spectacles during the ceremony.

Approximately 140 civilian employees participated in the eye clinic. Dr. AL Darmarathna, Consultant Eye Surgeon conducted the eye clinic with the assistance of Wing Commander Abey Jayasekara and optometrists of SLAF.

Director Welfare AVM MLK Perera , CO SLAF Station Cbo Air Cdre MDAP Payoe, senior officers, Airmen and Civilian staff of SLAF  were present at the handing over ceremony.
