As part of the series of conferences organized by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, a conference was held at SLAF Base Hingurakgoda on 16 September 15 with the participation of ladies and servicewomen at the Station.

The meeting was chaired by the Chairperson of the SLAF SVU Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala, who welcomed the gathering and spoke to them on the aspirations of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit. A discussion was held on issues and problems related to the Seva Vanitha activities  brought up by those present after which the Chairperson exchanged pleasantries with the participants.

The Chairperson also visited the Base Pre School and ‘Bosath Lama Nivasaya’ which is located in the vicinity of SLAF Base  and met the children studying at the school.

The President of the Seva Vanitha Unit, SLAF Base Hingurakgoda Mrs. Piumali Wickramaratne, Base Commander SLAF Base Higurakgpda Group Captain Sampath Wickramaratne, and Office bearers of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit were also present at the occasion.
