Officer Cadets and Instructors from SAARC Countries Visit AFHQ

Delegation of National Cadet Corps (NCC) from SAARC and Asian countries who are currently on a visit to Sri Lanka  under Youth Exchange Programme of  Sri Lanka National Cadet Corp, paid a visit to the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters on 14 October 2015.

The delegation comprises 13 Officers and 55 Cadets from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Maldives.
 
Director Training of Sri Lanka Air Force Air vice Marshal Vijitha Gunaratne received the delegation on arrival to the AFHQ. Subsequently, Heads of the delegation from each country, called on Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinhala and symbolic mementos were exchanged at the meeting.

Afterward, a presentation was conducted by the Staff Officer from Directorate of Air Operations, Flight Lieutenant Dishan Kithsiri, on Functional aspects of the Sri Lanka Air Force. On conclusion of the presentation, an interactive Q&A session was held with the participation of Members from the AF board of Management.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
