9th ‘Guwan Lak Sevana’ House Handed over and Assistance to Underprivileged School at Katukurunda
A new house constructed under the "Guwan Lak Sevana” Housing Project launched by the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to 33968 LAC Peters RE today (30 October 2015) at Abepitiya, Beruwala. The house opening ceremony was held under the patronage of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala.
Construction of this house was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and carried out by SLAF Station Katukurunda under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering.
In addition to the ceremony, a community project was conducted at “Beruwala Primary school” and stationary items were donated to 111 students of the school with the assistance SLAF Station Katukurunda.
Office bearers of SVU, Commanding Officer, SLAF Station Katukurunda Wg Cdr Mohan Balasuriya, Mrs. Pramila Balasuriya and the Officers of SLAF Station Katukurunda participated at the function.
