Annual Commander's Inspection of SLAF Base Anuradhapura
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala conducted the Annual Inspection at SLAF Base Anuradhapura today (30 October 2015). The Commander reviewed the parade which was commanded by the Base Commander Group Captain VB Edirisinghe.
Certificates of Commendation were awarded during the parade to 19034 F/Sgt Bandara TAS (CS & SMW), 19889 Sgt Wickramasinghe WAS ( Ops Grd ), 24841 Sgt Jayathilake SGNK (Acc Asst ), Mr WP Rathnayake (Labour) and Mr KDV Siriwardana (Labour) for the valuable service they rendered to the development of the Base.
During the course of the inspection covering all the areas of the Base, the Commander declared open the newly constructed Computer Lab of the Information Technology Unit.
Concluding the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks including the civilian personnel at the Base main assembly hall and commended the work of the Base Commander and the Staff in maintaining the Base at a high standard and emphasized the need to contribute their best to the Air Force at all times.
