A Delegation from the China NDU Visits Air Force Headquarters
A 32-member delegation from the Chinese National Defence University (NDU) - 2015 comprising senior officers of People’s Liberation Army from China who are currently on their Overseas Study Tour to Sri Lanka, paid a visit to the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters on16 November 2015.
The delegation was headed by Lieutenant General Wu Jieming , Deputy Political Commissar of the University. On their arrival to AFHQ, they were received by Air Vice Marshal Vijitha Gunaratne, the Director Training of the Air Force.
A presentation was conducted by Group Captain Lasitha Sumanaweera, the Senior Staff Officer Air Operations on ‘Post conflict role and challenges’ of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Subsequently, interactive Q & A session was held with the participation of Air Force Board of Management.
On conclusion of the presentation, symbolic mementos were exchanged among the delegation and the Air Force to mark the event.
