SLAF Wins National Productivity award 2014
Sri Lanka Air Force secured the first place in the National Productivity award 2014 in the Public Sector - Departments category.
The ‘National Productivity Awards 2014’ is organized by the National Productivity Secretariat (NPS) which is under the Ministry of Public Administration and Management. This annual competition appraises institutes which had become successful by bringing productivity concepts and productivity best practices throughout the last calendar year. As highlighted by NPS, aim of this whole exercise is to establish an efficient and people oriented government service and to increase the productivity of the entire country.
AFHQ, SLAF CTS DLA, No 4 Sqn and AEW were presented for the productivity assessment to cover the areas of Operational, Engineering, Training, research and Development and Welfare. The SLAF participated in this competition as one entity by achieving the same level of improvement in implementation of productivity concepts in all areas.
