SLAF Tree Planting Programme

The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala inaugurated the SLAF Tree planting programme which is organized to mark the first anniversary of His Excellency President Maithreepala Sirisena’s assuming of duties, this morning (09 January 2016) at SLAF Station Koggala.


The Commander planted a BudillaTree to launch the SLAF programme. Director Civil Engineering  Air Vice Marshal Ranil Gurusinghe, Director Welfare  Air Vice Marshal Lal Perera, Director Logistics  Air Vice Marshal Sumangala Dias, present Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Koggala Group Captain Chaminda Wickramarathne, outgoing Commanding Officer Wing Commander Shehan Wijenayaka, Officers, Airman and civilian staff attended the occasion.

The SLAF  planted more than 6000 trees at all SLAF establishments to mark this event.
