The Inaugural Surgery at the Theatre Complex SLAF Hospital Colombo
The inaugural surgery at the theatre complex at SLAF Hospital,Guwanpuara was conducted today(23 February 2016).
The first surgical treatment (theatre list) was carried out by Dr. Mahanama Gunasekera MS, FRCS visiting consultant surgeon with the assistance of Wing Commander GSS Perera MBBS. Dr Ranjith Dissanayake MD MRCP visiting consultant Anesthetist conducted Anesthesia with the assistance of Sqn Ldr PD Rajapaksha MBBS( MO Anesthesia).
Further the endoscopy unit of the SLAF Hospital Colombo is also consulted by Dr Mahanama Gunasekara MS, FRCS visiting surgeon. SLAF hospital is now capable to commence upper GI endoscopies, Coloonoscopies and flexible sigmoidoscopies.
