Renovated BT/ Punitha Annammal Tamil School Declared Opens
Renovated Bt/ Punitha Annammal tamil school with essential facilities was declared open by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Station Ampara Gp Capt WWPD Fernando on 24 February 2016 at Veechukalmunai, Batticaloa.
This development project was initiated to commemorate 65th Anniversary of the SLAF with the intention of giving quality education and equal opportunities for the students in need. The Principle of the School Mr P Punidharaj, accompanied the chief guest and the other invitees of Educational Department to the school. All dilapidated and insecure buildings of the school were renovated under the close supervision of Commanding Officer of SLAF Stn Batticaloa Wg Cdr VGGB Piyasiri.
Puntha Annammal Tamil School was established as a government school with the provision to provide education for male and female children up to primary level. At present, approximately 50 students are studying and there are 07 teachers including the Principal.
