Annual Pirith Chanting and Almsgiving Ceremony at SLAF Station Palavi

The Annual Pirith Chanting and Almsgiving ceremony at SLAF Station Palavi was conducted under the patronage of the Commanding Officer Wing Commander Roshan Gunawardena on 03rd and 04th March 2016.

This is one of the parallel event conducted to commemorate the 65th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force, to mark the 04th  Anniversary of the EOD School Relocation and to invoke blessings to the Fallen War Heroes of the SLAF.

Religious activities of the ceremony were conducted by the Ven. Nawagamuwe Medananda, Chief Incumbent of the Thambapanni Temple, Kalladi while 16 priests from various temples in the Puttalam district attended.

All service personnel of the Station inclusive of civilian staff, Government Officials of Puttalam district and well-wishers were also present at the event.
