United States Air Force Academy Cadets Visit Sri Lanka Air Force
Three cadets from the United States Air Force Academy, accompanied by Lt Col LeAmm Derby of the Academy’s Foreign Languages Director of Assistant , visited SLAF Headquarters on 21 March 2016 as part of their Academy’s Cultural Immersion Programme.
They met the Chief of Staff of SLAF Air Vice Marshal CR Gurusinghe, Director Training Air Vice Marshal Vijitha Gunaratne and some senior officers and discussed matters related to training in both countries. There was an exchange of mementos with the visiting delegation from the United States Air Force Academy to mark this event.
Their six days visit also includes visits to several training establishments and an opportunity for interaction with Sri Lanka Air Force Cadets. The delegation is also scheduled to visit several religious places in the country during their stay.
