Ground Stewards’ Basic Course 1/2015 Completed
Certificate Awarding Ceremony of Ground Stewards’ Basic Course (01/2015) was held at the Hospitality Management School, Sri Lanka Air Force Station, Sigiriya on 07th April 2016.
Under the directions of the Director of Logistics of the Sri Lanka Air Force and on the supervision of the Commanding Officer Sri Lanka Air Force Station, Sigiriya Group Captain LHN Jayathilake, five month of basic training course successfully completed focusing following areas. They are Responsibilities and duties of Ground Stewards, Catering procedure and Administration, Admin and Non public Accounts pertaining to ground Stewards, Hygiene, Care and Maintenance of the Mess Buildings, House Keeping, Simple Cookery Practical & Food and Beverages Practical.
This event is customarily held on completion of every course with the presence of all trainees, Officers, Other Rank Instructors and the personnel serving therein, in recognition of training achievements. 42 numbers of basic trainees from the Ground Stewards’ Basic Course (1/2015) were awarded the certificates at the occasion.
The Deputy Director Logistics of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Commodore WMKSP Weerasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the event.
The Commanding Officer of the Station Group Captain LHN Jayathilake, the Chief Instructor Hospitality Management School Squadron Leader KGBMS Kularathne, Chief Instructor Non Tech SLAF Trade Training School Ekala Squadron Leader NMA Zaki All Officers and Other Ranks of the Station were present at the event.
The Trophy for the Best Student of the course was awarded to AW/ 3897 AC Ekanayake EITN.
