Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s team emerged the women’s champions at 09th Defence Services Handball Championship 2016 concluded on 04th May 2016.

SLAF Women’s won the game beating SL Army by 17-11.
 
Air Vice Marshal JP Wanigatunge of SLAF graced the occasion as the chief guest. Chairman SLAF Handball Air Commodore JA Nanayakkara, Officers and Other Ranks of the Tri-Forces were also present at the occasion.
