National War Heroes Commemoration Parade Held in Badulla
National War Heroes Commemoration parade was held in Badulla town for the 7th time on 13th May 2016.
Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Police, Civil Defence Force, Government Officials and Politicians of the Uva Province participated at the ceremony.
Family members of the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives in the defence of the motherland to assure peace, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country also graced the Commemoration ceremony.
Religious activities, floral tributes and a guard of honour were accorded for war heroes by the members of the Forces, Police and Civil Defence Force.
This annual event was organized by the Secretariat of the Uva Provincial Council.
Wing Commander Prabath Alexander represented the Sri Lanka Air Force.
