SLAF Rescued Capsized Fishermen in Negombo Pitipana Sea
Bell 412 Air Sea Rescue Team rescued the fishermen (Mr Jude Ranjith and Mr Newton) capsized in Negombo Pitipana Sea a little while ago.
The air crew Wg Cdr DL Hewavitharana(Captain), Sqn Ldr HK Liyanaarachchi(Co Pilot) and four member rescue team Ft Sgt Kavisekara DV, Sgt Pushpadewa UP, Cpl Danushka HGM and Cpl Sanjeewaa were on board in this rescue mission conducted by the No. 4 Helicopter Squadron at SLAF Base Ratmalana. Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake Air Commodore Sagara Kotakadeniya coordinated this rescue operation.
