SLAF Flood Relief Operations on 21 May 2016

Sri Lanka Air Force continued rescue operations and providing of relief aid to victims in Kelaniya, Biyagama and Kirindiwela areas by airlifting consignments of dry rations and cooked food using Bell 212, Bell 412 and MI-17 helicopters.

Further, Bell 212 helicopter air lifted a critical heart patient from Ranala to Colombo for immediate treatment around 1730 hrs.
 
SLAF completed Beech 200 aircraft (1 recce mission), Bell 212 (7 missions), Bell 412 (4 missions) and  Mi 17 (5 missions) to dispatch all goods immediately to the flood relief centres at non accessible areas and people in trapped locations.
