No 05 Air Defence Radar Squadron at SLAF Station Palavi Celebrates 9th Anniversary
NO 05 Air Defence Radar Squadron (ADRS) celebrated their 9th Anniversary yesterday (24 May 2016).
NO 05 ADRS contributed immensely to strength the National Air Defence Network in an uninterrupted manner since the deployment on 24th May 2007. The Squadron has exploited in to a fully fledge Formation due to the explicit service rendered by the Commanding Officers and All Ranks who were accredited since initial establishment.
The Squadron initiated the celebrations with a CSR programme at “Ceylon Brooke” Child Orphanage in Anamaduwa on 18th May 2016, followed by a dinner and donating dry rations for the children.
The Formation Day on 24th May 16 was inaugurated with religious activities with the participation of CO SLAF Stn Palavi and all Officers of the Station. Sports activities were conducted afterwards and event was concluded with an all rank lunch.
