No 111 UAV Squadron SLAF Base Vavuniya Celebrates 8th Anniversary
No 111 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron at SLAF Base Vavuniya celebrated its 8th anniversary on 01 June 2016.
The formation day parade was held on 01 June 2016 and reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Wg Cdr Manjula Abeywickrama.
Airman of the year award was awarded to 42986 LAC Dasanayake SMUK (Admin Asst) whilst three merit certificates were presented to 32983 Cpl Abeykoon DMPR (Aero Eng), 33149 Cpl Dassanayake (Air Frame ) and 33395 LAC Dissanayake HGG (Ops Guard) in appreciation of their contribution towards the Squadron during the year 2015.
The Squadron cricket tournament held after formalities was graced by the Base Commander, SLAF Base Vavuniya, Gp Capt Udeni Rajapaksa.
