SLAF Viru Daru Diri Thilina
“Viru Daru Diri Thilina” a programme to provide grants for children with special needs and a distribution of school necessities for children of SLAF personnel affected during flash flood was held at the Auditorium of Air Force Headquarters on 17 June 16.
Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala graced the event and total number of 63 parents of special children received the monetary grants and 43 students of flood affected SLAF families received stationary items. Also Qty 03 wheel chairs and Qty 01 walker were donated to SLAF personnel on requests.
In addition, a medical lecture was presented to the parents of special children by the guest lecturer Dr. Sudarshini Senevirathna - Consultant child psychiatrist at Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital.
The Chief Of Staff AVM Ranil Gurusinghe, Chairperson SLAF SVU Mrs. Samanthi Bulathsinghala, Director Welfare AVM Rohintha Fernando, Director Health Services Air Cdre Lalith Jayaweera, Members of SVU, parents and children also present at the occasion.
