SLAF Trade Training School Ekala celebrated its 5th anniversary on 22 June 2016.

Morning working parade followed by multi-religious activities to commemorate the past war heroes and to invoke the blessings for SLAF personnel was organized under the patronage of Commanding Officer Group Captain MJR Perera.

Soccer final match between SNCOs and Advanced Trainees and the netball match between Married and Unmarried air women added vivacity to the series of celebrations. All rank celebratory lunch at the airmen mess and a live musical show with the participation of some of the former Commanding Officers and other officers served therein gave glamor to the celebrations.

In parallel with the anniversary celebrations, whole day Shramadana campaign was organized to clean the Dr. DS Jayewardene Boy’s Development Centre, Weligampitiya on 18 June 2016. Further, a Pirith Chanting and alms giving ceremony for fifteen Bikkus was successfully concluded on 24 June 2016.
