SLAF Hospital Colombo commences to perform eye surgeries and first list of eye surgeries taken on 4th August 16.

Two cases of eye lid surgeries were done by Dr Damayanthi Samarasinghe MD (Ophth), consultant visiting eye surgeon. Dr JR Gajaweera MD, Consultant resident anaesthetist participated for the same. Also, cataract surgeries of service personal are in the awaiting list and will be commenced soon.

Theatre of SLAF Hospital commenced its inaugural surgery on 25 Jan 16 and have completed 50 cases of minor and intermediate surgeries up to date by Dr Mahanama Gunasekara MS, FRCS , Consultant visiting surgeon and Dr Ranjith Dissnayake MD the Consultant visiting anaesthetist.
