A Delegation from the Bangladesh NDC Visits Air Force Headquarters
A 24-member delegation of the Bangladesh National Defence College comprising senior Officers of Tri-Services from Bangladesh who are currently on their Overseas Study Tour to Sri Lanka, paid a visit to the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters on 16 August 2016.
The delegation was headed by Major General Hamidur Rahaman Chowdhury, rcds, psc. On their arrival to AFHQ, they were received by Air Vice Marshal Vijitha Gunaratne, the Director Training of the Air Force.
A presentation was conducted by Group Captain Lasitha Sumanaweera, the Senior Staff Officer Air Operations on ‘Post conflict role and challenges’ of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Subsequently, interactive Q&A session was held with the participation of Members from the AF board of Management.
On conclusion of the presentation, Heads of the delegation Major General Hamidur Rahaman Chowdhury, rcds, psc, Dfence Advicer, called on Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Vice Marshal CR Gurusinghe and symbolic mementos were exchanged among the delegation and the Air Force to mark the event.
