SLAF Personnel of UNPK HELI-DEPLOYMENT (MINUSCA) Return to Sri Lanka

The second Contingent of SLAF Personnel, numbering 94 personnel who served the SLAF Aviation Unit under the United Nations helicopter deployment in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) arrived in Sri Lanka earlier today (07 November 2016), on completion of their 12-month tenure. They were replaced by a fresh contingent who left the shores of Sri Lanka a few days previously. 

Senior officers of the Air Force and the family members of the arriving personnel were present at the Arrival lounge.

 

Sri Lanka Air Force, is the only aerial arm among the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, responsible for defending the nation's airspace and supporting its sister services for all kind of operations.
