During the Hikkaduwa Beach Festival,  the Carlton Beach Sports Tournaments were worked out. Beach Netball Tournaments, where 8 teams participated, were played on 02 August,2009, A Beach Netball Team comprise of one male participant and four female participants. The SLAF Team succeeded in getting into the Final Round of Matches and competed with the Ports Authority Team. Ports Authority Team bagged the trophy for the winner.
