Commander Declares Open New Holiday Home and Abans Showroom at SLAF Base Anuradhapura
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy declared open the newly constructed Holiday Home for Serving and Retired Other Ranks and an Abans Showroom today (21 December 2018) at SLAF Base Anuradhapura.
The Holiday Home was designed and constructed by the Civil Engineering Wing of SLAF Base Katunayake, under supervision of the Director of Civil Engineering and Base Commander of the SLAF Base Anuradhapura. The newly constructed Holiday Home consists of 21 fully furnished luxury bed rooms with attached bathrooms. Among that two bed rooms have specially designed for the disabled personnel and two rooms for retired personnel.
The Director of Civil Engineering, Air Vice Marshal MRK Samarasinghe, Base Commander SLAF Base Anuradhapura Air Commodore HN Abeysinghe, General Manager Abans PLC, Officers, retired and disable servicemen and other ranks were present at the opening ceremony.
