EOD Badge Awarding Ceremony at SLAF Station Palavi

The Badge Awarding Ceremony of the No. 52 Airmen, No. 28 Navy Personnel and No. 2 Foreign Students EOD Basic Courses was held today (19th June 2019) at the Main Lecture Hall of the EOD Training School at SLAF Station Palavi. The Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi, Group Captain GSN Priyadarshana participated as the Chief Guest.

The courses commenced on the 14th of January 2019 with two (2) Air Force Offices, twenty seven (27) Airmen, three (3) Airwomen, one (1) Pakistan Air Force Officer, two (2) Naval Officers and four (4) Sailors. However, due to the recent security situation in the country Two (2) Air Force Offices, twenty six (26) Airmen and three (3) Airwomen were attached to SLAF Station BIA during the course.

As such, only one (1) Naval Officer, one (1) Pakistan Officer, one (1) Airman and four (4) Navy Sailors were able to successfully complete the training and receive their certificates and badges on completion of the course.
