A friendly cricket tournament followed by a social gathering with the participation of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain KC Geethapriya, all Officers, Other Ranks, and all civil staff was the highpoint of the 17th Formation day celebrations of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Wing at SLAF Base, Katunayake, which fell on the 22nd of June 2019.

The M&EE Wing was established to undertake all kinds of electrical and mechanical installation work, repairing and maintenance of Generators, Air Conditioner Plants, Cold Rooms and other plant and machinery at SLAF establishments.
