Replacement Air Force Troops Depart for South Sudan

The fourth replacement troop contingent for the changing of personnel at the Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit under the United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) departed the country last night (2 July 2019).

The group led by Wing Commander Senaka Kulatunga as the Contingent Commander and comprising of 102 personnel departed the country from Bandaranaike International Airport.

The present troop contingent in South Sudan are due to return to the island tonight.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
