Sri Lanka Air Force Station Iranamadu celebrates 8th Anniversary
Sri Lanka Air Force Station Iranamadu proudly celebrated its 8th
Anniversary yesterday (3rd August 2019) under the direction and guidance
of Commanding Officer, Group Captain Chaminda Wickramaratne. While
addressing the gathering during the formation day parade the Commanding
Officer thanked all Officers, Airmen and the civilian staff who have
contributed uplift the standards of the Station during its history of
eight years.
A series of events were organized to celebrate
the event and the festivities began with a Cricket Tournament held at
the Station Playground with the participation of all personnel and same
was followed by an All Ranks Lunch.
In addition two Community
Service Projects were organized to extend harmony and friendship among
the people around the Station and highlights were the Shramadana
Campaign conducted at Ramanadhapuram Kovil yesterday and the renovation
of two bus halts in Ramanadhapuram. The two projects were highly
appreciated by the public.
