SLAF athletes bagged 6 Gold, 4 Silver and 7 Bronze medals at the 97th National Athletic Championship 2019 which was concluded yesterday (18th August 2019) at the Sugathadasa Stadium.

Corporal Nimali WKLA was able to set a new Sri Lanka  Record in the Women's 1500 Meter event finishing with a timing of 4: 15: 88 minutes while Corporal Sadaruwan MHI was able to set a new Meet Record (5.01 mtrs) in Men's Pole Vault event.
