Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Celebrates its 67 Anniversary
The Combat Training School Diyatalawa 
celebrated its 67th Anniversary today (15 October 2019). The formation 
day was celebrated with a traditional working parade at the historical 
Bently Ground, which was reviewed by the Acting Commanding Officer Air 
Commodore Chaminda Wickramaratne.
Addressing the gathering, the Acting Commanding 
Officer highlighted the significance and the historical parameters of 
this prestigious military establishment which has bestowed the nation 
with an unblemished spectrum of service to date. Further, the Acting 
Commanding Officer appreciated the enormous contributions made by the 
past Commanding Officers as well as the Officers who have served the 
School ever since its establishment including its Airmen, Airwomen and 
the civilian staff.
Concluding his address, he thanked the Commander of 
the Air Force and the Board of Management for the enormous and continued
 support extended for the betterment of the cradle of Sri Lanka Air 
Force Combat Training. 
The 
day was also marked with a sharmadana campaign which was organized with 
the participation of permanent staff of the School at Nisansalaramaya, 
Holy family convent, Kahagolla.
