Commander of the Zambian Army Calls on the Commander

The Army Commander of the Republic of Zambia, Lieutenant General W.M Sikazwe presently in Sri Lanka on a five-day long goodwill visit called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias this morning (24th February 2020) at Air Force Headquarters.

The visiting Army Chief was welcomed to Air Force Headquarters by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Vice Marshal CB Labrooy where he was accorded a Guard of Honour by the SLAF Colour Wing. He was then conducted to the Commanders Office where he was warmly welcomed by the Commander.

The visiting Army Chief and the Commander held a discussion on matters of mutual interest at the Commanders Office. After which, Lieutenant General Sikazwe was introduced to the Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana and to the members of the Air Force Board of Management. The two Chiefs exchanged mementos to marks this occasion and Lieutenant General Sikazwe also made a note in the visitor’s book before departing from Air Force Headquarters.
