Change of Command at Junior Command & Staff College, China Bay
The Outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain S D G M Silva WWV, RSP, USP, MSc (Mil Stu), MSc (Strat Stu), BSc (Def Stu), Pg Dip (IR), fawc, psc handed over duties to Group Captain M D A G Seneviratne USP, MDS (UoK), BSc (Aero Eng-USA), AMIESL, psc. The Handing Over/ Taking Over took place at the Junior Command and Staff College yesterday (24 February 2020).
The outgoing Commanding Officer took over the Command of the College on 17 January 2017 and had served at the position for more than three years. During his tenure he has taken many steps to develop the College as well as to improve facilities of Officers who follow the training and also to improve that educational standards at the College.
The incoming Commanding Officer, Group Captain Seneviratne was previously performing duties at the Air Secretariat as the Staff Officer Technical to the Commander of the Air Force and Director Media.
